New Hampshire doesn't require bills of sale for firearm transactions. Form 4473 is still needed for gun sales by licensed gun dealers, however.
Private sellers can still use a bill of sale when selling a gun in New Hampshire, of course. It can give you added peace of mind about the transaction.
The Required Forms for Gun Sales

1. Form 4473
Form 4473 is required by federal law for people buying a gun from a licensed dealer. When you fill that form out and submit it to the dealer, he starts the background check to see if you’re eligible to buy a gun.
Usually, the dealer will provide the form to you himself, but you can download it from here too.
2. New Hampshire Firearm Bill of Sale
Bills of sale aren’t legally required for New Hampshire gun transactions. They may still be useful as personal documentation of the transfer of ownership in case of dispute later, though.
You can use our free template (downloadable below). We also suggest keeping it with a copy of your buyer’s photo ID, if you want added safety.
