If you are unable to legally possess firearms, due to prior felonies or other reasons, you will need to find a friend or family member to facilitate the sale on your behalf. We recommend familiarizing yourself with your local laws.

Can I change my mind about selling my guns?

Sometimes gun enthusiasts regret the decision to sell their guns. If you accept our offer but then decide that you want to keep your guns instead, you can always change your mind before sending the items to us. Once we receive the items, however, we issue payment and the transaction is complete, so changing your mind after that point is not possible.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We are not required to and do not report the sale of firearms to the government. The transfer of ownership is handled by our FFL and we ensure your privacy during this transaction.

No, this is not a federal gun buyback program. We are a private company that buys firearms from individuals and dealers for resale.

If you're here, you're probably wondering how to sell a gun. Cash for Arms is a federally licensed dealer (FFL) . We are a federal firearms licensee ourselves, so you will be dealing directly with an FFL (us), and do not need to go through a second FFL/gun broker. It means we will be also your transfer agents/gun broker. Regarding this, you can conduct a background check on us if you want to verify this information. You can ask your local gun store for some legality details.

How do I transfer the gun legally in my state?

The transfer process of your guns varies by state, so we encourage you to familiarize yourself with your own local law. In most states, the transfer process is simple and straightforward, and customers don’t need to do anything but sell their guns to our gun-buying service -- it’s as simple as that. In some states, you may need to complete and submit some documents to your state, which is why we give you a bill of sale with our FFL on it so that you can complete that transfer when needed. We are dedicated to complying with the law during every transaction.

How do I know this isn't a scam?

You can access our FFL using the EZ lookup tool at the top of our website. You can also see that the ship-to address on the labels we will send you is the same address as our registered FFL. Basically, any person who sells firearms is secured to transact with us, even first-time sellers.

Yes, we buy guns and gun accessories. However, if you only want to sell an accessory to us, it would need to carry substantial resale value in order for us to be able to make a competitive offer.

Do you buy ammo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we buy gun ammunition. However, we are not able to make a competitive offer for your ammunition unless the value of the ammo is more than $200 (unless you’re selling other things to us). We can still make you an offer, but the fixed costs of each deal may eat into the offer substantially.  If you have rare ammo or a large quantity or it, then we would be able to make a fair offer to you for your ammunition by itself.

Yes, we buy all kinds of black powder weapons, including black powder rifles and black powder pistols.

Do you buy NFA Class 3 weapons?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we buy NFA guns. If you want to sell an NFA Class 3 firearm or other weapon, you can submit it just like any other firearm. We are an FFL and SOT, and so you can sell your Class 3 firearm to us in only a couple weeks, rather than waiting for almost a year for a transfer.  You do, however, need your tax stamp, and we need to use Form 3 prior to you shipping your NFA items to us.
