Value Factor 2: Benelli M4 Models or Variants
You can find the M4 in a number of variations in both retail and resale. The Super 90 is actually just one version of it – specifically, the Benelli M1014.
Benelli M4 Value

The average used Benelli M4 is worth $700 to $1,400. A new M4 sells for $1,900 at retail.
This is the standard or base model for the M4, also designated the 11707 by Benelli. This version of the gun has an 18.5” barrel, black finish, and the A.R.G.O. system that helps M4s cycle so fast.
These come stock with ghost-ring sights and drilled and tapped receivers, as well as Picatinny rails.
Benelli M4 Super 90 Value

The average used Benelli M4 Super 90 is worth $750 to $1,300. A new M4 Super 90 sells for $2,000 at retail.
The Super 90 is the civilian version of the U.S. Marine Corps shotgun. Benelli designates it the 11701 in its system and sells it with a skeletonized stock instead of the standard version’s tactical stock.
The M4 Super 90 also has a United State flag engraving on the receiver. It boasts an anti-reflective mil-spec finish in black.
Benelli M4 Entry / M4 Tactical SBS Value

The average used Benelli M4 Tactical is worth $650 to $1,200. A new M4 Tactical SBS sells for $1,900 at retail.
Benelli designates this the 11722. The Entry variants are essentially short-barreled versions of the M4, with a 14” barrel instead of the standard 18.5” one.
The barrels for the SBS variant are matte blued. It comes with much the same features the standard model offers, just in a smaller package.
Benelli M4 H2O Tactical Value

The average used Benelli M4 H2O Tactical is worth $800 to $1,600. A new M4 H2O Tactical sells for $2,100 at retail.
This is still one of the 18.5” M4 Tactical shotguns. It’s just Cerakoted for improved resistance to damage from humidity or corrosion, hence the value premium.
Benelli M4 EXT Value

The EXT is the upgraded version of the 18.5” M4. It coomes with a factory tube extension that takes the gun to 7+1 capacity, as well as a five-position collapsible stock (very nice!).
The EXT also has a bigger bolt release for faster reload. Benelli sells the M4 EXT in three finishes: Black Multicam, FDE, and H20 Tungsten Cerakote.

Value Factor 3: Accessories or Upgrades

If you have accessories that fit your M4, you can try to sell them with the gun. Just keep in mind that they need to be of excellent condition and from known manufacturers to sell.
Even then, you can’t be sure every buyer will want them. This is especially true of "upgrades" like aftermarket finishes. Some people don't consider them upgrades, after all.
Anyway, if you can’t find anyone to sell your Benelli M4 and accessories to, contact us. We often buy accessories and even ammo!
Original Box and Papers
The M4 comes in a serviceable but pretty nondescript cardboard box, so don’t expect too much for this even if it’s in pristine condition. Still, offer it to your buyer if you have it!
Value: Around $8 to $20 for the matching box and papers.
Ammo Side Saddles and Cards
Most buyers will appreciate these if they’re of good quality and condition. Expect more takers for higher-capacity ones.
Value: Around 20% to 40% of the accessory’s original cost.
Optics/Red Dot Sights
If you have an optic that can go on your M4, try selling it with the gun. Trijicons and Holosuns tend to sell fairly well.
Value: Around 30% to 50% of the accessory’s original cost.
OEM Collapsible Stock
Often appreciated by those who have the non-collapsible version. It retails for about $575.
Value: Around 30% to 50% of the accessory’s original cost.
