This was the first version of the budget-friendly Sport line for the rifle. It came with a 16” barrel, standard A2 flash suppressor, and fixed stock.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II is worth $280 to $560. A new MP15 Sport 2 cost around $600 at retail when it was in production.

The second iteration of the MP15 Sport had a forward-assist and a dust cover not present in the original Sport model. It also had a Magpul MBUS rear sight.

The improvements over the original Sport mean you can sell this MP15 for a little more than the first version.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport III Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport III is worth $300 to $600. A new MP15 Sport 2 sells for $799 at retail.

The latest version of the MP15 Sport, released in 2024. This one has a free-float handguard, Armornite finish on the barrel, and a longer gas system for improved stability compared to the Sport II.

Again, you can see improvements over the previous model, so you can sell this MP15 Sport for more than the 2nd iteration.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15T Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15T is worth $350 to $500. A new SW M&P 15T sells for $1,295 at retail.

This version of the the MP15 is fitted with an MLOK handguard, quad rail system, 16-inch barrel, and precision-machined upper receiver. It also has Magpul sights and an adjustable B5 SOPMOD stock.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 SBR 556 Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 SBR 556 is worth $340 to $490. A new SW M&P 15 SBR sells for $1,279 at retail.

This SBR or short-barreled MP15 model is fitted with an 11.5” barrel, Magpul MOE grip and MBUS sights, and a free-float MLOK handguard. A limited-edition version of it comes with the BCM Gunfighter forend, but it sells for about the same.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE SBR 11.5 Inch Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE SBR 11.5 is worth $400 to $850. A new SW M&P 15 AXE 11.5” sells for $1,559 at retail.

S&W’s AXE lineup uses Gemtech’s GVAC upper to reduce gas blowback during suppressed usage. Ambidextrous and fitted with features like a Magpul CTR adjustable stock and grip with interchangeable backstraps.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE SBR 14.5 Inch Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE SBR 14.5 is worth $400 to $850. A new SW M&P 15 AXE 14.5” sells for $1,579 at retail.

The same gun as the 11.5” version, but with a slightly longer barrel. It sports the same features otherwise.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE 16 Inch Value

The average used Smith & Wesson M&P 15 AXE 16 is worth $400 to $900. A new SW M&P 15 AXE 16” sells for $1,599 at retail.

The biggest of the AXE M&P15 rifles, this nonetheless has the same features as the rest if not for the longer barrel. The performance center version adds about $50 to the price for its premium in-house tuning.
